The difference between a "home video" and a "travel documentary" often comes down to camera movement. In the Mapimator Studio, we've replaced complex keyframe editing with a simplified Slide System, but the real magic happens in the easing menu.

The Secret of Easing

Every slide card in your Storyboard has a small icon for easing.

  • Smooth: This is your default. It mimics the "physics" of a real camera, accelerating slowly and decellerating gently.
  • Elastic: Perfect for high-energy travel reels or "fun" vlogs where a little "bounce" at the end adds personality to the location landing.
  • Late Brake: The "speed demon." Use this for creating cinematic flights that need to travel halfway around the globe very quickly.

Framing the Shot

The camera doesn't just need to move; it needs to frame.

  • The Rule of Thirds: When landing on a city pin, don't just put it in the dead center. Tilt the camera (Right Click + Drag) so the pin is slightly in the lower third, showing the horizon and 3D buildings behind it.
  • Orbiting: Want a 360-degree look? Use our Orbit Template to automatically generate a perfect circle around your target.

TikTok & Reels Optimization

If you're targeting vertical video, remember to switch your Format to 9:16 in the Settings menu. Mapimator will automatically adjust the viewport, but you'll want to "Retake View" on some slides to ensure your GTA-Style routes stay within the vertical frame.
